BLAINE - A 43-year-old Blaine woman was arrested by Maine Drug Enforcement Agency investigators twice in less than a week.

MDEA Commander Darrell Crandall said agents seized a small amount of heroin when Stacy Clayton was arrested last Thursday but that they seized more than 350 grams of heroin when they cut open a locked safe Monday.

Crandall said the heroin recovered from Clayton had an estimated street value of $70,000.

According to Crandall, Clayton faces numerous drug charges.

Crandall said Clayton posted bail and was released Monday afternoon. He said she is scheduled to make her first court appearance on Sept. 18.
