Downeast Horizons residents treated to lumberjack show

Written by

TRENTON - Around 200 participants from Downeast Horizons were treated to a live presentation Friday at Timber Tina's Great Maine Lumberjack Show.

The event was a way for Downeast Horizons clients to experience a show with others, and organizers used it to announce three special treats for employees.

“We are a non-profit and we like to help our employees,” said Executive Director Anthony Zambrano. “We're going to be giving out almost $200,000 to our staff and as a surprise in appreciation for all they do. They're the ones working every day with each and every one of these adults and children.”

At the show, it was announced all Downeast Horizons employees will get a 50 cent raise, and that raise will be retroactive back to January.

The third announcement was that employees also would get a bonus, based on the years they have worked for Downeast Horizons.
