The spaces along Harlow Street, between Central and State streets, will now be 90-minute parking instead of 60 minutes.
Councilors said it would help to make parking around downtown more consistent.
The handicap space on State Street will also be moving to the other side of the road.
"We're gonna take a comprehensive look at all the times downtown if it makes sense to extend times in other areas. Since we put the new license plate reader technology in place it gives us more data so we can see where we need to make more adjustments," City Councilor Dan Tremble said.
These changes will go into effect on June 20.
