Since the announcement nearly two weeks ago that Brady had passed away, the community has continued to show support.
On Saturday night there was a dinner and silent auction at City Side Restaurant in Brewer.
The fundraiser was planned before Brady's passing but now the money will go toward helping Brady's parents and other families who find themselves in a similar situation, organizers said.
"It's a real tribute to Brady, who was not only a fantastic athlete but someone who always had a very positive attitude about life," event organizer Irv Marsters said.
Saturday also was Brady Nickerson Day at the Glenburn Little League fields.
