ELLSWORTH - The mother of an Ellsworth teen accused of making a threat at his school is now facing her own charges.

Alice Allen, 47 is charged with hindering apprehension or prosecution. She's the mother of Michael Allen, 19, who was charged with terrorizing after he allegedly made threatening statements on a gaming site, saying he wanted to shoot people at Ellsworth high school.

 

Police saiD before they could execute a search warrant at his home, his mother cleaned his room before they could search it and also got rid of several firearms.

 

Police did examine a computer and other paperwork found in the home and determined Allen wasn't planning a shooting rampage.
