A Thomaston man has been accused of breaking into numerous storage lockers over the past two years.
The arrest of Joshua Vandine, 37, is the result of an ongoing investigation in Waldo, Knox, Lincoln, and Sagadahoc counties.
Police said Vandine stole items from enough storage units to fill two U-Haul trucks. Chainsaws, hunting and fishing equipment and tools were among the items recovered when officials searched his home, vehicle and his own storage unit.
Officials said some victims may not realize their storage units were broken into because Vandine replaced the padlocks he cut with locks of his own to avoid immediate detection.
Police are asking people to check their storage units to see if they may also be victims.
