Fans take pictures with 2018 World Series trophy in Portland

PORTLAND - Baseball fans in Portland Tuesday night between the Seadogs doubleheader were flocking down to the third base concourse to get a glimpse and a photo with the Red Sox 2018 World Series trophy.

The flags were actually damaged during the Sox victory parade after the trophy was hit by a beer can, but that didn't bother those in attendance. Fans from Maine and even the Netherlands came to see the world championship trophy.


"I'm a big Red Sox fan," Paul Vonk, a fan from the Netherlands, said. "I'm watching them all the time on the TV, MLB.TV, NESN and then well this was the chance to see the trophy and get my picture my wife and my children said you're crazy but I'm a big Red Sox fan," Vonk added.
