Man Killed During Fourth of July Parade

BANGOR - Independence day is a time of celebration, one where family and friends come together to pay tribute to this great nation. Today, the July 4th festivities in Bangor had components of fear and sadness. First, a downtown police standoff with an apparent gunman, then, the tragic loss of life along the parade route.

AUGUSTA -  The chairman of the Maine Republican Party has resigned after six months on the job. 

CALAIS (from state police) - Both State Police and the Attorney General’s Office continue to investigate the circumstances of Wednesday night’s shooting in Calais. 

CALAIS (from state police) - One man is dead and a woman and a baby were wounded in a domestic violence shooting in Calais tonight. The shooting took place at a home on Main Street about 6 pm.
