Dispatcher arrested for child porn

AUBURN - A Maine State Police dispatcher has been arrested and charged with possessing child pornography.

He's accused of soliciting the photos through social media.

State police say the computer crimes unit got a tip that Eric Kramarz had been using Twitter to contact girls around the age of 13, some of whom sent sexually suggestive pictures back to him.

Maine State Police Spokesperson Steve McCausland said "Home computers to cell phones to Twitter to Snapchat, there's a variety of means out there that people can communicate with each other and we're on top of it."

Police don't believe Kramarz had contact with any of the girls in person, but that is part of the ongoing investigation.

Kramarz has been placed on administrative leave with pay while all of this plays out in court.
